  • 12 large mushrooms (stems removed)
  • 6 slices thick-cut bacon (diced)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp fresh herbs (parsley or chives, chopped)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (divided)
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Gently clean the mushrooms using a damp cloth and remove the stems.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, cook diced bacon until crispy; drain excess fat but retain about a tablespoon.
  4. In a bowl, mix cooked bacon with cream cheese, garlic powder, chopped herbs, and half of the Parmesan until well combined.
  5. Generously spoon the filling into each mushroom cap.
  6. Sprinkle remaining Parmesan and bread crumbs on top of each filled mushroom.
  7. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
