  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Sea salt flakes for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract; mix until combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture on low speed until just combined.
  5. Fold in half of the caramel sauce into the dough.
  6. Scoop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Sprinkle with sea salt flakes before baking.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers appear slightly underbaked. Cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to wire racks and drizzling with remaining caramel.
